At an opportune time an April Saturday in 1986 in a ranch village in Ukraine, dowager Marusia Petrenko and her family up and about to a day of conventional wedding arrangements. Marusia heats her renowned worldwide wedding bread-a korovai-in the public village broiler to take to her neighbor's granddaughter's gathering. Late that night, after all the moving and drinking, Marusia's child Yurko leaves for his day of work at the atomic power plant at Chernobyl.
In the morning, the air has a weird metallic taste. The feline is strangely drowsy. The minister doesn't appear for administrations. Yurko doesn't return from work. No one recognize what's happened (and they won't for numerous days), however things have altered for the Petrenkos-without end.
